Carnelian Crystal Tumble Stone

Carnelian is a brownish-red crystal commonly used as a semi-precious gemstone. The Carnelian crystal is part of the Chalcedony family with a trigonal crystal system.

Carnelian has a hardness of 6-7 out of 10 on the Mohs scale. It is on the middle side of durability as far as crystals are concerned. The pale orange to deep red to an intense almost-black colouration comes from impurities of iron oxide.

Like most quartz, the Carnelian crystal is made up of silicon dioxide and has a vitreous, greasy, silky lustre.

The Carnelian name comes from the Latin word caro and carnis, which means flesh.

Carnelian is known as an artist's crystal because it corresponds with creativity, pleasure, and bold action.

The Carnelian crystal is a warm, vibrant crystal /stone that boosts confidence and the power to express oneself. Made from microcrystalline quartz, this bright and cheery version of Chalcedony gets its brown and orange-red specks, bands, and stripes from iron impurities, which look best when polished.

The Carnelian is also known for helping with taking bold action. The Carnelian has a hot and fiery spirit that stimulates the root chakra and sacral chakra, helping circulate vital energy to your centre. This energy contains your deepest desires and powerful creative instincts.

Whenever you're called on to perform, whether it's a 'love' performance for your lover or a creative performance in the spotlight, be the star of your own life by accessing the healing properties of Carnelian. Keep Carnelian by your side either as jewellery, talisman or as a stone in your purse, bag, or pocket and act out your plans with confidence.
